Admin HistoryThe Deutsche Golddiskont bank was formed in 1924 for the purpose of granting credits to German institutions by the discounting of approved sterling commercial acceptances. It had a capital of £10m, half provided by the Reichsbank by means of a loan from the Bank and other central banks and the other half by German interests.
DescriptionThis file contains papers relating to a rediscount credit of up to £5m provided by a syndicate of London accepting houses, the manager of which was J Henry Schroder and Co.
