| Description | This class contains a variety of papers. They include the employment of women, training generally, the reporting system, the age structure of the staff and offers of early pensions, salaries and conditions of service, and office organisation and accommodation. Some of the papers thus extend beyond the Department itself. This is partly because it is the senior Department, and the Chief Cashier the senior Head of Department and thus on occasions the channel of communication on staff matters to the Executive Directors and the Governors. The Cashier's Department was renamed the Banking Department in 1980. |
