Description | A clearer, not a ledger. Listed by denomination and in issue date order: £10, £15, £20, £25, £30, £40, £50, £60, £100 and £200; and some broken amounts, presumably from part-payments. The £60 notes may be partly-paid £100 notes, where they are listed. Apparently extracted in 1819. The broken amounts include a 7d, balance of a £10 of 1791. Most entries end in 1794, but the last page lists two £1 notes dated 1797 and 1806, and one for 1d, dated 1828, [the latter now in the Museum and remaining unpaid]. |
