Description | Private Drawing Office. Ledger A-K
This volume contains the balances of running-cash notes issued to each customer but also an account of the Bank's overall operations in its first year, including the Bank's main accounts i.e.all income and expenditure and the profit and loss account. From May 1695, the main accounts were kept in separate ledgers called the General Ledger, see ADM7. It appears that this was previously labelled Ledger B, as referred to in the ADM7 series. |
