| Activity | Coleby was educated at Winchester and Corpus Christi College, Cambridge before joining the Bank in 1961. He was seconded to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in 1964 to be the Personal Assistant to the Managing Director. He was made a Deputy Chief Cashier in 1973. Between 1980 and 1986, Coleby was an Assistant Director in charge of the Money Markets Division, and from 1986 until 1990 he was Chief Monetary Adviser to the Govenors. From 1990 to his retirement in 1994, Coleby was an Executive Director. |
