| Activity | The son of a diplomat, and educated at Eton and Oxford, Rodd followed a similar career path until resigning from the Foreign Office in 1924. He was a member of the Stock Exchange when Governor Montagu Norman recruited him to advise on Anglo-French relations. During his short time at the Bank he was seconded to the newly established Bank for International Settlements (BIS). Though the appointment was a permanent one, but Rodd left the Bank in 1932. Shortly afterwards he became a partner in Morgan Grenfell & Co, remaining there until 1967. |
