Activity | Powell joined the Bank in 1910, and was Principal, Cashier's Department, between 1928 and 1935. During 1933 - 1934 he visited El Salvador to advise on the establishment of a central bank. In 1935 he was appointed Deputy Chief of the Overseas and Foreign Department. Powell was seconded to the Central Bank of Argentina (1935 - 1936), and was Deputy Chief, Overseas and Foreign Department (1936 - 1941). He became an Adviser to the Governors in 1946 and retired from the Bank in 1951. |
