Activity | Educated at Liverpool University, Fisher joined the Bank of England in 1921. He was an Assistant Adviser in 1938 and the Director of Operations, IMF 1946 -1947. Fisher was a Deputy Chief Cashier at the Bank from 1948 before be appointed an Adviser to the Governors in 1950, a post he held until his retirement in 1959. From 1953 until 1960, Fisher was a member of the West African Currency Board and East African Currency Board. |
