| Activity | In 1959 the Inspector's Office was replaced by an Organisation and Method Section, which was allocated to the Secretary's Department. The Section also took over some of the work of the Central Mechanisation Office, which had been a unit in the Establishment Department from 1945. In 1970 the Organisation and Method Section became the Organisation and Method Division of the newly formed Management Services Department and in 1975 the Business Systems Division of that Department. In March 1976, the Management Services Department was absorbed into newly created Administration Department. |
