| Activity | Educated at King's School Bruton, Hollom joined the Bank in 1936. He served in the Army during the Second World War and was a prisoner-of-war (1942 - 1945). Hollom returned to the Bank in 1946 and ten years later was a Deputy Chief Cashier. In 1962 he was appointed Chief Cashier, and was Executive Director with responsibility for home finance from 1966 until 1970. Hollom became Deputy Governor in 1970, a post he held until retiring from the Bank in 1980. |
