Returns were on Forms A and B, as follows: Form A - London clearing banks and Scottish banks, and (main 'other domestic' banking figures) 3rd Wednesday of each month, and end of each quarter (16 dates in all). Northern Irish banks: Monthly, at varying dates. Accepting houses, overseas banks, and discount houses: Monthly, at end-month; Form B - All institutions: end-quarter (further analysis of certain items). The discount houses also submitted a Form C, giving certain figures at each third Wednesday. The file also contains various amendments to the definitions and the appearance of new contributors. |
