The subjects include the purchasing power of the pound at various dates (for a list of sources see note of 17 March 1959); retail prices; Commonwealth Preference; 'trade intensity'; security prices etc from 1900; and controls over credit and banks in the United Kingdom (UK), 1960. There is also a booklist, 1959, for a new Central Bank, and the Bank's contribution, 1960, to an Abstract of Historical Statistics prepared by the Department of Applied Economics, Cambridge University. |
