Admin HistoryBenjamin Strong (1874 - 1928) was Governor of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York from its foundation in 1914 until his death in October 1928. Strong was succeeded by George L Harrison (1887 - 1958), whose title was changed to President of the Bank in 1936. Harrison resigned at the end of 1940.
