Admin HistoryBaron Stamp of Shortlands was a Director of the Bank of England who was killed in an air raid in 1941. The Bank, with others, endowed a Stamp Memorial Lectureship. John Maynard Keynes, Baron Keynes, the intended first Lecturer, withdrew, and he was replaced by Sir Hubert Henderson in 1946.
