Admin HistoryThe Committee was appointed on 13 Mar 1783 and was to look into the business carried out in the Bank. The Committee's Report led to the formation of the three permanent committees of Inspection. Committee 3 was responsible for Drawing Office Accounts, Chancery, Cheque, Drawing Office Hall, Bill, Post Bill, Dividend Warrant, Discount, General Cash Book, Discounted Bills Unpaid, Clearers, Accountant's Discount and Discount Cheque. The Committee's work was taken over by the Joint Accountant's and Banking Department's Committee.
DescriptionContains extracts of Orders etc from Court and Committee Minutes 18 Aug 1697 - 7 Sep 1809 on the conduct of business. There is also a list of clerks.
