Admin History | At the Superintending Military Committee of 29 Jul 1801 it was resolved that a Field Officer, or Captain, should remain constantly in London and that he insert his address in books to be kept for that purpose, by the Chief Cashier, as well as the Chief Accountant, who were directed to send him without delay all letters addressed to the Colonel or the Commander of the Bank Regiment. The Chief Cashier and the Chief Accountant were desired to deliver the book to the Doorkeeper, residing in the House, upon all occasions of their absence, that there might be no delay in delivering the letters. |
