DescriptionContains a letter George Rose, sent 4 May 1798, on behalf of the Lords of the Treasury, to the effect that £62,735 10s of Land Tax Revenue should be entered into the account of Dudley Rydey and Thomas Steele, Paymasters of General of the His Majesty's Forces. It also includes the resolution of the previous day outlining this decision. Both documents were fastened with a piece of string to a small slip labelling them, now preserved with them.
