Hop on your broomsticks and fly down to The Dark Emporium - an alternative late-night market hosted in iconic settings: The Bank of England Museum. Step into mystery and history at this one-of-a-kind event and surround yourself with wares and wonders from crafters and makers from across the UK!

This free-entry market set in the Museum's Stock Office will host craft stalls and music as well as the chance to experience the Museum after-hours. Not spooky enough for you? Delve into the realm of vault ghosts and Bank giants through our haunted storytelling experience.

What you can expect:

  • Small UK businesses and crafters that specialise in alternative products; flash tattoos, beard butter and gilded ghosts - our makers have it all.
  • Ready to shake off the cobwebs? Get ready for haunted tunes and spooky shindigs with our Samhain playlist.
  • Summon your courage at our Bank ghost storytelling experiences - set at the heart of our iconic building, listen to tales of the giants and ghouls that haunt our halls.
  • Relax in the late-night ambience of the Museum at this one-off event and enjoy our recently installed exhibit after hours.

Essential information:

  • Doors open at 5.15pm.
  • Ghost stories run every 15 minutes from 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
  • Last entry at 7.30pm.
  • Ghost stories and the Emporium will finish at 7.45pm.
  • Museum closes at 8pm.
