Open House Festival 2026: weekend opening

Join us in the Museum for a rare weekend opening to celebrate Open House 2026

About the event

When: 19, 20 September; 11am to 4pm (last entry 3.30pm)

As part of Open House Days Festival 2026, swing by the Museum during our rare weekend opening to explore the history of the Bank, uncover fascinating stories from its past, and discover how it continues to shape the nation's economy today.

Plus, there's a whole host of new things to see. Our brand-new display, 'Mrs Coade's Stone: cast to last' is open, exploring the mysterious material Coade stone and its usage across the UK. Additionally, see our pop-up display 'A Kind of Exchange' from 17 to 20 September in collaboration with the Royal College of Art.
