A stunning temporary display in collaboration with the Insurance Museum; a life-sized historic coffee house exploring the origins of insurance after the Great Fire of London. This event is a limited time opportunity to view the display in the evening, and experience the interactive exhibit after dark alongside hands-on activities.

There will also be a 6pm talk during the late event titled ‘Murder on the Zong’. Details of the 1781 Zong/Zorg massacre were exposed via a 1783 court case. By engaging with archival material, history scholarship, alongside visual art and creative writing, this talk considers the massacre and court case in relation to abolitionism, British history, and African diasporic (re)memory.
