Raakhi Odedra

Raakhi Odedra has been an Agent for Northern Ireland since October 2026. She engages with businesses, financial institutions and other organisations, gathering intelligence and insights to help inform the Bank's assessment of economic conditions.

Raakhi joined the Bank in 2015. Before taking up her current role, she advised members of the Financial Policy Committee on financial stability issues, worked in the Bank's Communications Directorate, helped launch a new series of banknotes and served as an Agent in Scotland.

Before joining the Bank, Raakhi spent over eight years as an economist in the Scottish Government, where she worked on a broad range of policy areas, including economic strategy and innovation, and gained experience across macroeconomic and regional analysis. She also worked as an adviser to the Government of Rwanda on education strategy and financing. Her earlier academic work focused on the growth and clustering of creative industries.
