Prudential Regulation Committee

The Prudential Regulation Committee makes the Prudential Regulation Authority’s most important decisions.

The Prudential Regulation Committee (PRC) is made up of twelve people. It is chaired by the Governor of the Bank of England. Four other members are Bank of England Deputy Governors.

The majority of PRC members come from outside the Bank of England. One is the Chief Executive of the Financial Conduct Authority, and six other external committee members are selected for their experience and expertise in financial services.
