Biography

PRC: 20 March 2025 to 19 March 2028

FMIC: 25 September 2025 to 24 September 2028

David Soanes is an external member of the Prudential Regulation Committee (PRC) and of the Bank’s Financial Market Infrastructure Committee (FMIC).

He was with UBS AG for more than 30 years. This included positions as UK country head for UBS Group (2014 to 2022) and global head of financial institutions for UBS Investment Bank (2012 to 2019). Before that, David was global head of equity and debt (capital markets) at UBS IB.
