The impact of machine learning and AI on the UK economy

The Bank of England, Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR) and Brevan Howard Centre at Imperial College Business School joined together to deliver ‘The Impact of Machine learning and AI on the UK Economy’ conference.

Conference date: 25 and 26 March 2020

Location: Bank of England, Threadneedle Street

At the end of March we were due to host ‘The impact of machine learning and AI on the UK economy’ conference. In light of the Government’s advice we had to amend the way in which this was hosted. With thanks to the many panellists for contributing, various presentations and videos, including the keynote from Stuart Russell, are available below.

The purpose of the conference was to stimulate academic research on how machine learning and AI will impact issues that matter to the Bank of England’s policy objectives.

If you have any questions or queries for our speakers please email stakeholderrelations@bankofengland.co.uk.
