About the workshop

On Thursday 5 June and Friday 6 June 2025 the Bank of England and Imperial College Business School jointly organised the 6th edition of the Workshop on Household Finance and Housing.

This workshop provided a platform for academics and central bankers from all around the world to discuss the latest research and techniques used in the field of household finance and housing.

Huw Pill (Bank of England) chaired a panel on ‘AI and Households’ on 6 June which featured short presentations by Paul Robinson (Bank of England), Roberta Cretella (Compare the Market), Conor Griffin (Google DeepMind) and Tarun Ramadorai (Imperial College Business School).

Speakers: Sophia Gilbukh (CUNY Baruch College), Atif Mian (Princeton University), Stijn Nieuwerburgh (Columbia Business School), Arna Olafsson (Copenhagen Business School), Timothy McQuade (Berkeley Haas School of Business) and Janis Skrastins (Olin Business School).
