The Bank can make rules that apply to CSDs. The Bank’s consolidated rulebook for CSDs sets out those rules that are currently in force, those that are due to enter into force, and those that are no longer in force. Please see the Bank’s CSD policy and rules page for further information on requirements and guidance applicable to CSDs.

  The Fundamental Rules collectively set out the Bank’s expectations for FMIs across financial and operational resilience, governance, and regulatory engagement. They are consistent with and sit alongside the more detailed elements of the regulatory framework for FMIs. They are accompanied by a supervisory statement offering further guidance for FMIs.
