Governor Andrew Bailey met with Mr Nigel Farage and Mr Richard Tice MP on 25 September 2025 as part of the Bank's engagement with political representatives. Also in attendance was the Governor’s Private Secretary and the Bank’s Head of Parliamentary Affairs. This meeting occurred at the Bank’s Threadneedle Street building between 8 and 9am.
We have received requests under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) for certain records relating to the Bank’s engagement with Mr Farage and Mr Tice. The categories of information requested and the Bank’s decision in relation to each are outlined in the table below:
