Minutes of the MPC Meeting held on 5 and 6 November 1997

The MPC voted unanimously to increase Bank Rate by 1/4 percentage point.

The Committee then voted unanimously in favour of a 1/4 percentage point rise in the Bank’s repo rate, to be announced immediately.
