The Governor invited members to vote on the proposition that the repo rate should be maintained at 3.75%. Six members (the Governor, Mervyn King, Andrew Large, Charlie Bean, Richard Lambert and Paul Tucker) voted in favour. Three members (Kate Barker, Marian Bell and Steve Nickell) voted against, preferring a reduction of 0.25 percentage points.
