The MPC voted 8 - 1 to increase Bank Rate by 25 basis points to 3.75%.

The Governor invited members to vote on the proposition that the repo rate should be raised by 25 basis points to 3.75%. Eight members (the Governor, Rachel Lomax, Andrew Large, Kate Barker, Charles Bean, Richard Lambert, Stephen Nickell and Paul Tucker) voted in favour. One member (Marian Bell) voted against, preferring to maintain the repo rate at 3.50%.
