The Governor invited members to vote on the proposition that the repo rate should be reduced by 25 basis points to 4.5%. Five members of the Committee (Kate Barker, Charles Bean, Richard Lambert, Stephen Nickell and David Walton) voted in favour. Four members of the Committee (the Governor, Rachel Lomax, Sir Andrew Large and Paul Tucker) voted against, preferring to maintain the repo rate at 4.75%.
