Appointments at the Bank of England

Ian Plenderleith is to retire from the Bank of England when his current term on the Monetary Policy Committee finishes at the end of May.

Mr Plenderleith joined the Bank in 1965 and has been a member of the MPC since its first meeting in June 1997.
