As provided for by the Bank of England Act 1998 (as amended by the Financial Services Act 2012), Mr Haldane has been reappointed to the interim Financial Policy Committee between 1 March and 1 April 2013, and appointed to the statutory Financial Policy Committee for a three-year term from 1 April 2013, by Mervyn King, Governor of the Bank of England, after consultation with the Chancellor of the Exchequer. Mr Haldane’s current term on the interim FPC expires on 28 February 2013. Mr Haldane was first appointed to the interim FPC in February 2011.
