Firm Engagement Portal

The Firm Engagement Portal is the PRA's digital platform for submitting certain regulatory transactions. The Portal provides firms with a secure, streamlined and transparent way to submit information and manage interactions with the PRA.

About the Firm Engagement Portal

The Firm Engagement Portal supports the PRA's commitment to modernising regulatory engagement with firms by providing a centralised digital service for regulatory submissions.

Firms can submit regulatory transactions digitally, track submission progress, manage user access and securely engage with the PRA through a single online platform.

Note: The Portal currently supports CRR Permissions (under CRR and sections 144G and 192XC of FSMA) and specified Banking Rule Permissions (under section 138BA of FSMA). Additional transaction types will be added over time. Firms should onboard to the Portal now if they wish to submit any of the above transaction type(s). For services that are not yet available through the Portal, firms should continue to use existing PRA submission processes and onboard when further transaction types become available that are relevant to their submission requirements. Regular updates will be provided as new transaction types and Portal functionality are introduced.

Note: The Portal is built using the same Microsoft cloud technology and security architecture that underpins other Bank of England portals. It uses Microsoft Entra ID for identity and access management, together with role-based access controls to ensure secure access. Users are required to authenticate using Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication when accessing the Portal, providing an additional layer of security to protect firm and regulatory information.

Who should register?

Principal User(s) should onboard to the Portal as they are the primary administrators for their firm and are responsible for creating/submitting applications, managing user access and permissions. This includes creating and maintaining additional Principal User and Standard User accounts, as well as ensuring that access rights remain appropriate and up to date. Firms may choose to appoint one or more Principal Users, depending on their operational needs.

A Principal User and a Nominated Point of Contact may be the same individual or different individuals, at the firm's discretion. However, the roles serve distinct purposes. While the Principal User is responsible for administering access to the Portal, the Nominated Point of Contact acts as the firm's primary liaison with the PRA for Portal-related communications, updates, onboarding activities and other operational matters. The Nominated Point of Contact does not require administrative responsibilities unless they have also been appointed as a Principal User.

If you are unsure who should register on behalf of your firm, we recommend identifying an individual who is responsible for regulatory interactions with the PRA and can coordinate access requirements across the organisation.
