Emilio Zaratiegui is a Research Economist in the International Directorate at the Bank of England. He joined the Bank in 2025, after finishing his PhD from Columbia University. He also holds an MA from Universidad de San Andres and a BA from Universidad Nacional del Sur.
Emilio’s research is focused on International Macroeconomics and Finance, as well as Monetary Economics. He seeks to derive macro insights through the use of micro data. He has published in American Economic Review: Insights and American Economic Journals: Macroeconomics
