Simon Seokki Hong

Simon is a research economist in the Bank’s International Directorate. He joined the Bank in September 2024 after completing his postdoc at Paris School of Economics. He received PhD in Economics from the University of Warwick in 2022.

Simon’s research interests span topics in international economics, econometrics, and forecasting. He has a particular interest in propagation of macroeconomic shocks, monetary policy transmission and forecasting.
