Speaking at the Westminster Business Forum, David Bailey, Director of Financial Market Infrastructure, takes stock of the changes to payments infrastructure in the UK.

Over the past two years there have been significant initiatives launched, such as the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) and the Bank's review of the Real-Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system. David sets out the Bank's view on where we currently stand and touches on some of the challenges ahead.
