Given at the Centre for Economic Policy Research and The University of Chicago Booth School of Business webinar

Jonathan Haskel reflects on some of the economic issues the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) at the Bank of England has been considering in response to the Covid pandemic.
He explains why he thinks we will see a strong recovery, but also argues that the economy won’t make up all of the lost ground, and so we will see some “scarring”.
