Andrew Bailey says that although the financial system has remained resilient through repeated geopolitical and economic shocks, weaker growth, persistent supply disruptions, rising sovereign debt, leveraged markets and expanding AI-related exposures create risks. Policymakers should therefore pursue sustainable growth, maintain credible monetary and fiscal frameworks, and strengthen core financial markets so they can absorb future shocks without amplifying them.
