The statistics provide a breakdown of the balance sheet, income statement, membership and loans. The figures are reported at a UK level and split to show aggregated values for England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
Key points from the data to the end of June 2017 include:
- The number of adult members across the UK fell slightly from the peak of 1.72m in Q1 2017;
- The total Assets of the UK have increased to £3.1bn, with Assets in Northern Ireland rising to £1.6bn;
- Loans to members rose 5.8% over the period, reaching a record £1.3bn. The total value of arrears represented 4.7% of total loans to members.
