Dame Colette Bowe is Chairman of the UK Banking Standards Board. She has held this role since 2014 and will step down from it at the end of 2019.
She has previously held a number of senior board roles across various sectors, including investment management, banking, private equity and transport. She was chairman of Ofcom from 2009 to 2014.
After an early career in Whitehall, she worked as an executive in City regulation and asset management.
She has a particular interest in education and previously chaired the Council of Queen Mary, University of London and the music education body ABRSM. She is a governor of City of London Academy Highbury Grove.
She has a BSc, MSc and PhD in economics, all from London University.
