Historical United Kingdom Overseas Investments 1938-58
Prior to the Second World War, the Economic Journal published a regular series of estimates on British overseas portfolio investments which cover the period from 1926 to 1938.
After the War the compilation of this series was continued by the Bank of England and up until 1960 it was issued as a supplement to the Bank’s Annual Report. From 1961 the series was included in the Bank of England Quarterly Bulletin.
