Competition and regulation in financial markets 2018

The Bank of England and CEPR are holding a conference on Competition and Regulation in Financial Markets.

Event date: 31 May 2018

The conference will support the growing public focus on competition in financial markets and how regulators can respond. 

The agenda for the conference includes:

  • Keynote speeches by Elena Carletti (Bocconi University)
  • A policy panel discussion on OpenBanking and Fintech chaired by Paul Grout (Bank of England and Bristol University)
  • Presentation of recent papers on competition and regulation from Enrico Sette (Bank of Italy), John Thanassoulis (Warwick Business School), Thomas Gehrig (University of Wien), Fergal McCann (Central Bank of Ireland), Laura Capera (Tilburg University) and Matteo Benetton (LSE)
