Climate Financial Risk Forum (CFRF) Symposium – hybrid event

Symposium to be held at UK Finance, London

About the symposium

Date and time: 22 March 2pm-6.30pm (registration from 1.30pm)
Location: UK Finance, 1 Angel Court, London, EC2R 7HJ or online via Zoom

The CFRF is an industry group, co-chaired by the FCA and Bank of England, which was established in 2019 to bring together senior financial sector representatives to share best practice and knowledge on climate issues and accelerate financial sector firms’ capabilities to manage the risks and seize the opportunities presented by climate change.

As the CFRF concludes its current work program, join us to take stock of its ground-breaking work on the transition to net zero, scenario analysis, and disclosure, data & metrics.

The event will include:

  • Speeches from Baroness Penn, HM Treasury Parliamentary Secretary, Richard Barker, ISSB member; and David Postings, UK Finance CEO
  • Fireside chat Sarah Breeden, Bank of England Executive Director for Financial Stability, and Amanda Blanc, Aviva CEO
  • Industry panel focused on practical implications of the CFRF work, moderated by Sheldon Mills, Financial Conduct Authority Executive Director for Consumers and Competition, with representatives of CFRF Working Groups including Ben Carr, Aviva Analytics & Capital Modelling Director, Billy Suid, Barclays Head of Climate Risk, and a special guest Ingrid Holmes, Executive Director of the Green Finance Institute.

The event will conclude with a drinks and canapes reception — offering an opportunity to network with senior leaders from across the UK financial sector, to share best practice, and advance your organisation’s response to the risks and opportunities posed by climate change.
