About the conference
Date: 28 April and 29 April 2026
On 28-29 April 2026, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) will be holding its annual conference on international spillovers, jointly organised with the Bank of England (BoE), the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), and the European Central Bank (ECB).
This year’s topic is “Global Spillovers Amid Shifting Policies”. The conference gathers theoretical and empirical contributions examining how recent external, fiscal, monetary, and financial policy shifts are reshaping the international trade and financial systems, and the potential risks to fiscal sustainability and of greater fragmentation. Please find more details in the Call for Paper.
Papers that are selected for presentation will be considered for inclusion in a special issue of the Journal of International Economics (JIE), with guest editor Sergio Rebelo (Northwestern University).
