Details of the securities purchased by the Bank of England under the quantitative easing programme

We publish details of a selection of requests made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, and the information we disclose in response.

Disclosure:

In line with the Bank of England’s (the ‘Bank’s’) Monetary Policy Committee’s most recent decision in relation to the asset purchase programme, the Asset Purchase Facility (‘APF’) has purchased £375 billion of assets by the creation of central bank reserves.

A list of assets purchased through the APF (including the International Securities Identification Number, value and total purchases) can be found on the Bank’s website.

The Market Notice dated 6 August 2015 sets out operations taking place in early September including maturity time scales.
