Details of the recipients of the low numbered new £5 polymer banknotes

A list of the recipients of the low numbered £5 polymer banknotes donated to individuals and institutions is available below.  There were no terms or conditions attached to the donation of these banknotes. 

The Bank also conducted an auction through Spink & Sons of low serial numbered £5 notes on 3 October, details of which can be found on the Spink & Sons website.  The auction raised £194,500 to be split between three charities which were chosen by the Bank’s employees: The Myotubular Trust, The Lily Foundation and Bliss.
