Injuries at work reported by Bank of England employees during 1 January to 31 December 2018

During the calendar year 2018, 30 workplace accidents were recorded and reported by Bank of England employees. A list of ten examples of those accidents can be found below:

  1. Sprained ankle when moving around Bank premises
  2. Bruised finger following a trapping in a door
  3. Grazed shin on a crate
  4. Scratched back on an aluminium shelf
  5. Bruised foot following contact with motorised pallet truck
  6. Bruised head on desk
  7. Cut on a knife in a wash-up area
  8. Misplaced footing
  9. Bruised knee when moving empty pallets
  10. Bruised finger following impact when utilising a pallet truck
