2. How many individuals have been Approved to perform SMF/7 since 7 March 2016 (i.e. the date on which SMF/7 was introduced)?
The table below provides the number of applications and individuals approved for Group Entity Senior Manager (‘SMF7’) function by the Prudential Regulation Authority, which is part of the Bank of England, from 7 March 2016 to 26 April 2019. The figures include applications received and individuals approved for the Group Entity Senior Insurance Manager function (‘SIMF7’) which was the insurance equivalent of SMF7 and was merged with the SMF7 function on 10 December 2018:

3. How many individuals are currently Approved to perform SMF/7?
As at 26 April 2019, there were 753 individuals approved for SMF7, this includes those individuals that were transitioned from previous approved person categories into SMF7 as well as SIMF7.
