Last banknotes featuring the image of HM Queen Elizabeth II which have been issued by the Bank

Freedom of Information rules mean that, as a public authority, the Bank of England is obliged to disclose certain types of information, both proactively and on request.

‘…whether any of the bank notes mentioned have entered circulation?’

The Bank does not hold information on whether specific cyphers of banknotes issued to commercial cash centres have entered circulation. 

The table below shows whether banknotes with the requested cyphers have been issued by the Bank, which means the notes have left the Bank’s cash centre and have been moved to commercial cash centres for onward distribution.
